Coach Patrick McHenry is the Director of Strength & Conditioning at Castle View High School in Colorado. Coach McHenry designs the lifting & speed-agility programs for all the strength training classes, as well as works with the school’s 23 varsity sports. Coach McHenry has a Masters Degree is in Physical Education with an emphasis in Kinesiology from the University of Northern Colorado. He is a Certified Strength & Conditioning Specialist and a Registered Strength & Conditioning Coach with the National Strength & Conditioning Association (NSCA). Furthermore, Coach McHenry is a Certified Club Coach with USA Weightlifting.

 

Coach McHenry is a recognized leader in the field of strength and conditioning having presented at state, national and international conferences, and has published in books, journals, manuals, and videos. In 2003, he was the Regional Strength Coach of the Year for American Football Monthly, in 2005 Coach McHenry was the NSCA High School Strength Coach of the Year, and in 2006 received the Editorial Excellent Award from the NSCA Strength and Conditioning Journal. In 2010, Coach McHenry received the Strength of America Award from the President’s Council on Fitness and in 2012, he was awarded the Colorado High School Physical Education Teacher of the Year.
